ABOUT: Let’s take a stroll through Downtown Macon to explore the newly installed Black Heritage Trail, featuring markers placed by the Macon200 Bicentennial Committee. Discover the significant contributions of Macon200, including these markers, which stand as lasting tributes to Black history throughout the vibrant streetscape of downtown.

Details
This one-hour, easy-pace group walk meets on the third Tuesday of each month (March to June and September to December) at 6:00 PM. Each month we’ll feature a guest guide and a special topic to discuss as we explore the streets of Macon.

Participants should be able to walk 3 miles non-stop. Wear appropriate fitness gear and bring water. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed.

Before each walk, we’ll do some light stretching as Bike Walk Macon’s Education Instructor shares pedestrian safety information and smart walking tips.
