Streets for All Fest is a weekend-long celebration of biking and walking in Macon-Bibb County, featuring an exciting mix of rides, walks, and gatherings. Explore local people-friendly spaces, connect with the community, and support Bike Walk Macon’s 10-year legacy of advocating for safer, more accessible streets.
This new initiative includes both informational and recreational activities, featuring group rides, walks, and community-focused experiences that provide fun and meaningful ways to explore Macon’s streets and neighborhoods.
As a fundraiser for Bike Walk Macon, this initiative directly supports our mission to make Macon a more bikeable and walkable city for all.

Free Activities - While this festival is a fundraiser for Bike Walk Macon, we're offering three free opportunities to celebrate. Check out the schedule of events below for more details! Free events are open to the public - no registration required.

FOR BIKE RIDES - Bicycle, bike lock, front and rear bike lights, and a helmet for each bike participant. Helmets are REQUIRED. BWM has extra helmets if needed.
FOR WALKING TOURS - Comfortable walking shoes.

Macon Bike Party: Decades Ride to celebrate 10 Years

Details: Join us for the Macon Bike Party: Decades Ride as we kick off Streets for All Fest and celebrate 10 years of Bike Walk Macon! Dress up in your favorite decade’s attire—whether it’s the groovy 70s, early 00’s, or anything in between—and cruise through Macon’s streets in style.
Our Party Marshals, Renee Corwine and Hailie Williams, will be playing all your favorite songs from each decade, so get ready to sing along as we ride! Perfect for all skill levels, this slow-paced, family-friendly ride is the ideal way to connect with the community, explore the city, and honor a decade of advocating for safer, more bikeable streets.

Celebrating Women in Public Space Design Bike Ride

Details: This ride will showcase the incredible pedestrian and bike improvements shaping Macon’s public spaces. We’ll highlight projects like Cotton Avenue Plaza, Rosa Parks Square, Linear Park, and Walnut Street (focusing on the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail), celebrating how these spaces have been transformed to connect and inspire our community.
What makes this ride special is its focus on women-led contributions to the design, planning, and execution of these projects. At each stop, we’ll hear from the women behind these spaces, learning about the vision, challenges, and successes involved in their creation.
Meet: Rosa Parks Square - we'll meet at the patio at Just Tap'd (488 1st St). Ride is approximately 5 miles with multiple stops.
Downtown Snapshots + street Art Walk

Coffee + Conversation Bike Ride

Details: This casual bike ride will visit local coffee spots, including Sweet Elenor’s, Village Coffee, and ZBeans in Mercer Village. Along the way, you’ll enjoy coffee, sample tasty offerings, meet local business owners, learn about their stories, and engage in conversations about biking and transportation in Macon.
Led and facilitated by Bike Walk Macon Executive Director Rachel Umana, this ride offers a chance to share your thoughts, ideas, and questions about creating safer, more bike-friendly streets. Whether you’re a fan of biking, coffee, or meaningful conversations, this ride is for you!

Macon Vision Zero Implementation: Gray Hwy and East Macon Walk

Details: Join Weston Stroud, Macon-Bibb County Traffic Safety Manager for an informative and engaging walking tour that dives into the transformative scope of the newly awarded Safe Streets and Roads for All federal grant. This exciting project will bring approximately one mile of new sidewalks along Gray Highway and over three miles of multi-use trails along Clinton Road connecting to the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail, creating safer, more connected pathways for pedestrians and cyclists alike.
Explore how these new trails will link three local parks—Ocmulgee Heritage Trail, Dr. William Green Lee Camellia Garden, and North Highland Park—while providing better access to Northeast High School and Appling Middle School. Plus, learn how the addition of lights every 90 feet will enhance nighttime safety for the entire community.

Ocmulgee Heritage Trail Behind the Scenes Bike Ride

WHEN AND WHERE: MArch 8 AT 2:30 PM | Amerson River Park Bluff Pavilion | 2 HOURs | $20
Details: Bring your bicycle and pedal through the newest sections of the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail with Bill Causey, retired Macon-Bibb County Engineer, NewTown Macon Consultant, and trail expert. Bill will share insights into building the trail, discussing its challenges, and successes.
Learn about the trail's development, operation, and future plans through the Vision Plan 2.0 map. We'll address challenges, including how I-16 and I-75 construction has affected some sections with temporary closures and alterations. Don't miss this unique opportunity to converse with the people who fund and build the trail, gaining first-hand insights into one of Macon's most iconic and largest public spaces that enhances the community's quality of life.
Where: Meet at the Amerson River Park Bluff Pavilion - take the first exit at the roundabout to the large white pavilion overlooking the river. This is an easy-paced ride, that will briefly travel off-road.
