Join us for a free training on bicycle and pedestrian safety with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office!

Curious about how bicycle and pedestrian crashes are handled, or how we can better protect vulnerable road users? Want to support our local officers in prioritizing bike and pedestrian safety? Then these free training sessions are for you!

Bike Walk Macon is partnering with Georgia Bikes to offer a specialized POST-certified training program designed to equip officers with the knowledge, skills, and tools to enhance the safety of pedestrians and cyclists. This comprehensive training will cover:

  • Understanding the unique challenges faced by cyclists and pedestrians.

  • Enforcing traffic laws effectively.

  • Investigating crashes involving pedestrians and cyclists.

  • Conducting safe and efficient traffic stops.

  • Officers will receive two hours of POST credits upon completing the training.
