Are you ready for Macon’s quirkiest bicycling and walking event? Grab your gaudiest green gear and get ready to get silly on Saturday, March 9, 2024, with Bike Walk Macon. It is our pleasure to invite you to join us for the 2024 Shamrock ‘n’ Ride: Scavenger Hunt - a super fun, challenging, and family-friendly event.
This signature fundraiser supports Bike Walk Macon's mission to make bicycling and walking a safe and convenient option for transportation and recreation for everyone in Macon-Bibb County. Your participation in the event or generous donation directly contributes to enhancing the safety, connectivity, and overall enjoyment of our streets.
WHAT IS IT?
Grab your bicycle or lace up those walking shoes, and round up your friends for a Macon adventure like no other! We'll provide a map outlining a scavenger hunt area with over 50 destinations, activities, and challenges waiting for you. In just 2.5 hours, design your route and navigate a 5-mile radius of downtown, exploring iconic and obscure spots in Macon. From seeking hidden objects to conquering feats of strength and absurdity, this scavenger hunt is a blend of fun and discovery!
Form a BICYCLING TEAM of 2 or 3-4 members or a WALKING TEAM of 2-4 participants.
The adventure kicks off at Fall Line Brewing Co. (567 Plum Street) at 9:30 am, with the scavenger hunt unfolding from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. Wrap up the day at JBA (425 Cherry Street) for a light lunch and an exciting awards ceremony. Get ready for a day filled with laughter, exploration, and friendly competition!
HOW DO I REGISTER?
Registration Fee: $40 per Person
Team Discounts: Sign up as a team and enjoy discounts of $10-$40

Late registration (After March 24): Ticket fees will increase. Save money and secure your spot early!
Registrations after March 24 are not guaranteed a t-shirt at the event and may have to pick one up at a later date.
Kids 10 and Under Free: Families are welcome! Children 10 and under join for free.
This is a rain or shine event and tickets are non-refundable.

Entry pass to the lunch and awards party at JBA after the scavenger hunt
WHAT TO BRING:
For BICYCLE TEAMS - Your bicycle, bike lock, and a helmet for each bike participant. Helmets are REQUIRED. BWM has extra helmets if you need one.
For WALKING TEAMS - Your comfortable walking shoes
Cell phone capable of taking pictures

HERE’S HOW YOUR Business CAN support Shamrock ‘n’ Ride
1. Participate as a Location Partner.
We want you to partner with Bike Walk Macon to make this a fun and overwhelmingly entertaining day for our competitors by signing up as a designated location stop during the scavenger hunt on March 9. Here’s how:
Sign up to host an activity or be a photo stop: We want to feature local businesses and organizations at this event by encouraging participants to stop by your location and participate in an activity to earn more points.
2. Provide items for our prize packages for 7 winning teams for 1st + 2nd place (24 total winners). Examples - t-shirts, gift cards, etc.
3. Become an event sponsor for just $500. Your support helps us grow our movement in Macon, creating better streets for everyone. Explore the various sponsorship opportunities here and email rachel@bikewalkmacon.com to sign up as a sponsor.
