What is Open Streets?
Open Streets Macon will temporarily close the streets from Walnut St. + Clayton St. + Buford Pl. + Oak Haven Ave. to automobile traffic, so that neighbors can reimagine the street as a welcoming and accessible place for walking, bicycling, dancing, and playing.
What will we do?
Bike Walk Macon is hosting this event in partnership with neighbors and organizations from the Pleasant Hill and Historic Vineville neighborhoods. We will also install a permanent traffic calming street project to improve biking and walking during the Open Streets event.
What can you do?
We are relying on residents like you to provide input for this project, and to also help us build Open Streets! Join us on September 22nd to find out details about the November 6th event.
